However, with the C5BT we set out to create a great sounding monitor that could be used at home or the office as well. Whether you're watching a movie, streaming music on the web, or just listening to your favorite downloaded tracks on your phone, you want an accurate reproduction of what the mix engineer intended. For this, you need a speaker with a well-balanced frequency response - so you won't hear any frequency louder or softer than any other, but also one that images well. What is imaging? When you listen to music, and close your eyes, can you picture where the instruments are on the "virtual stage"? If you can, you have speakers that image very well ­like the Classic Series C5BT monitors. Not only do the C5BT's provide a clearer view into the music you are listening to (or perhaps making) they also overcome many of the limitations found in many other speakers. Using quality speaker drivers and employing a sophisticated crossover network, they sound clear and transparent. From Pro engineers at commercial studios to listening to your favorite music or movies at home, the C5BT sets a new, affordable standard in monitoring. The C5BT features a 5 in. low frequency transducer and a 1 in. PEI diaphragm tweeter mounted to a specially designed waveguide to create a better off-axis response. The top panel sports the digital volume control, Bluetooth pairing button and input selector. The rear panel houses the round bass-reflex port and hosts balanced TRS, unbalanced RCA inputs, 1/4 in. balanced TRS subwoofer output and optical toslink connection. Protection features include RF interference, output current limiting, over-temperature, turn-on/off transient and subsonic filter protection.
